New Granddaughter!

On April 3rd little Kate Elise was born! Three precious little girls now!

Back to Japan for a month!

We head back to Japan for a month on June 14! We're excited and reviewing Japanese and still can't believe we're going. We'll be helping out with the mission work there in Chiba, as well as having a reunion with our friends at Seiseki Megumi Church which we helped start back in 1990. We'll be posting pictures and comments all through the month, so stay tuned! Here's some from way back when:

New Dogs

A couple of weeks before Mimi passed away, we had to put our Mitzi to sleep. She was a great girl, though "Mitzi had issues", as we always said. She came a long way from that first day we adopted her and she cried and ran around the house frightened.

Then a couple of months later we adopted a beautiful greyhound named Annie. We were cautiously optimistic that she and little Conan, our chihuahua would get along.

But after 3 weeks we realized it was not a match. So Annie went back to the rescue group to be adopted out again. We then rescued a 3 lb. chihuahua whom we named "Chibi" which means tiny in Japanese. They have become great friends and play off and on all day.

What A Year So Far!

The year 2009 has been an eventful one in our family. Dave's dad (Pa) went home to be with his Lord on Inauguration Day, January 20. My Mom (Mimi) also went home to be with her Lord on April 28. They are greatly missed and greatly loved and appreciated.

A Grand Day in Church in Japan

It was a great day in Oyumino Church, Japan: several baptisms, a great celebration! God is doing amazing work over there!
